Immersion training timetable

Attend our 3 day virtual Partner Launch Training to become an ECHO hub.

Before you can become an ECHO hub, you'll need to attend our virtual Partner Launch Training. This is delivered via Zoom videoconferencing.

Dates for 2023 are to be confirmed.

The following is a sample agenda of our 3 day training.

Day 1

The Zoom meeting will open at 7:45 am Queensland time.

Session 1 - 8 am to 9:20 am

In this session we introduce ourselves and talk about housekeeping before getting into an overview of what ECHO is, it's history and what it isn't. We also discuss alignment to the ECHO model and what is essential.

Session 2 - 9:40 am to 10:20 am

After morning tea, we look at what you need to become a hub. Including information about staffing, participants, IT and room requirements, hub launch and beyond.

We also discuss the art of running an ECHO including:

  • Anatomy of an ECHO
  • Facilitation skills.

Session 3 - 10:35 am to 11:15 am

After a quick break, we have a Q&A session and discussion about panel member roles. This includes the Facilitator, Subject Matter Expert, IT support person, Network Coordinator and Consumer Representative roles.

Day 2

The Zoom meeting will open at 7:45 am Queensland time.

Session 1 - 8 am to 9:20 am

This session includes a case presentation activity. We also talk about how you can evaluate your ECHO and use break out rooms to plan your team's evaluation.

Session 2 - 9:35 am to 10:05 am

After morning tea, we talk about ECHO data management. We also go on a scavenger hunt through the Project ECHO Resource Library to learn how to use it, find out what resources it includes.

Session 3 - 10:20 am to 12 pm

After a quick break, we discuss learner-centred education, needs assessment and curriculum development.

We also talk to you about your Implementation Plan and give you tips for developing your case template.

The session will also include time for you to assign roles for the mock ECHO you'll do in the next session.

We'll end the day with a Q&A session.

Day 3

The Zoom meeting will open at 7:45 am Queensland time.

Session 1 - 8 am to 9:15 am

This session will start with a recap of the plan for the mock ECHOs and provide an opportunity to clarify panel roles and ECHO anatomy.

Team 1 will run a mock ECHO with Team 2 as participants. The mock ECHO will run for 45 minutes and we'll take time after to debrief.

Session 2 - 9:30 am to 10:30 am

After a quick break, Team 2 will run a mock ECHO with Team 1 as participants. The mock ECHO will run for 45 minutes and we'll take time after to debrief.

Session 3 - 10:45 am to 12 pm

After morning tea, we'll take a look at participant engagement and what a partnership with us looks like. We'll discuss:

  • partnership documents
  • partners expectations for support and advice
  • the Asia-Pacific ECHO Collaborative
  • logos and branding
  • the MetaECHO community.

We'll finish the session with a Q&A and a final evaluation.
